Alright everyone, i never thought it would come to this, TheRetreat has been my home since i started this game and this is definitely the hardest decision i have ever made....im going to leave TheReteat for AOTE, my reason for leaving is the fact that the guild is too centered around levelling, not community spirit, i have watched the foruma dn the chat recently and now i understand why the rest of the members left, the mass message debate today just sealed the deal for me...good bye everyone, TheRetreat will always be in my heart

Joined a really small guild seconds after leaving. Slow leveler and did not contribute much anyways.

I had to kick sofresh today. I know that he has been here a long time, however he was cursing at me and being completely out of line. I also reported him to HCS for harassment. Please see below. I will adjust the below by adding stars to make it PG-13, but use your imagination.

I shouldn't have to prove myself, I have contributed a lot here and my word should be enough, honestly. But here it is.

It started with friendly chat room banter, and my reminder to multiple people that we discourage buff begging without saying hello. I have cut out the other members who were talking in the middle of this about other topics to keep it tight:

sofresh was truthful in this, back when the guild was growing he donated fsps by the bucketload. Its a sad day to see him go, he was a fantastic guild member in my eyes.

I was in the chat when this happened and I am not clear as to why sofresh got so mad in the first place. I didn't see Ralph harassing him or even "calling him out" in front of everyone. In fact, It didn't even seem like Ralph was talking to him; if you read the chat you can see who he was referring to. I don't know why he thought Ralph was talking to him, he must have had another issue of some kind. Anyone that speaks like that shouldn't be in the guild despite his accomplishments. There's really no excuse whatsoever for cursing someone out like that. . maybe he was having a bad day or something but cursing like that is so disrespectful and I'm sorry Ralph that you had to deal with such nonsense.

I agree there is no excuse for cussing another member out. Don't take my post the wrong way, I think this kicking however unfortunate was deserved.

Sure, Blacksun I see what you mean, a definite loss for the guild. I think he must have been unhappy in general because I don't get how the situation escalated like that from nothing but I guess that happens!

Not sure what happened but 'Thelegend0" account has been terminated. I moved him to Missing in Action in case he gets it reversed somehow.
